Platoon Leader (PL) - The first line of leadership with-in the Armored Knights. Accepting this assignment requires that you understand and accept the responsibilities it entails.
This is your PLATOON, make it yours. Have pride in it, come up with ideas or cultivate ideas from your members about where you want the PLATOON to go, and let your COMPANY COMMANDER (CC) know. We will strive to support your ideas as long as they are with-in the KNIGHTS overall best interests and may even incorporate your ideas across the PLATOONs!
You are in charge of your PLATOON. Make the decisions as you see fit and make sure those decisions are with-in the best interests of the KNIGHTS as a whole. Good rule of thumb: If the decision only affects your PLATOON then you probably have the ability to make that call, if the issue incorporates or affects anything outside your PLATOON then you most likely need to go higher up the Chain of Command. Bottom line is you WILL have to make a judgment call at some point; it will happen, so be thorough in your thought process and reasoning so if we ask why you made the decision you made, you can justify it.
1. Indoctrination: Conduct the -AK- Indoctrination with new members assigned to your platoon.
a. Code of Conduct
b. Your PLATOONs desires and goals and how they can help attain those
2. Mentorship: Ensure your members have all the tools available to succeed in WOT and the CLAN.
a. Know your members:
i. TIER level
iii. Their tank goals (country or line)
iv. Their Clan goals
b. Game MODS, if needed or wanted
c. General game info(maps, tactics etc)
d. Help them with Clan issues as they pertain to them at the PLATOON level.
a. Maintain communications up and down the Chain of Command
b. Maintain your respective PLATOON FORUMS
c. Know and utilize the web site when applicable
4. Coming Soon: Be prepared to flex on additional needs and/or requirements as they are identified:
a. PLATOON level grudge matches
b. In CLAN contests
c. PLATOON level ideas you may have or want to incorporate
5. BE THE PL: Be available and able to solve PLATOON issues
a. Make decisions for your PLATOON as set forth with-in your COMPANY guidance.
b. Train your replacement. Best case scenario you are trying to move up to the CC level. Someone has to be ready to step up and take your spot. Work all your guys toward that goal.
